Afgelopen zaterdag ben ik met ISA (international students' association), naar Oxford geweest. Vroeg op dat wel, zeker voor in het weekend, maar Oxford was zeker de moeite waard. De universiteit is gehuisvest in oude gebouwen, maar zo wat het hele centrum is voorzien van historische gebouwen. In Oxford zijn we naar drie musea geweest, een museum met oude wetenschappelijke instrumenten, een historisch museum en het museum voor moderne kunst. Het natuurwetenschappelijke museum was zeer de moeite waard, de moderne kunst was vrij beperkt (grote zalen, weinig kunst) en tja het historisch museum was meer van hetzelfde, net als andere historische musea dus. Op de heenweg probeerde Anthony de sfeer er in te krijgen door het potato potata refrein te zingen, maar hij werd meer uitgelachen dan dat men meedeed. Op de terugweg noemde hij in zijn speech kort dat hij maar niet meer met de song zou komen, maar ja na een pintje en een zeer geslaagde dag zat de stemming er in. Dus I say potato, you say potata, I say tomato, you say tomata 😉
