These animals of artist Theo Jansen are a truly beautiful example of what is possible with artificial intelligence. It shows how you could achieve an enormous complexity with the use of relatively simple elements. The combination of GA's (genetic algorithms) in evolutionary computing and a very basic neural network idea makes these beasts adaptive and intelligent. Very inspiring and I expect that many developments in the future wil come forth from these principles. Enjoy the video (slightly different to the Dutch video from The Hague).
